In 2009 Zytec Systems ltd was employed to develop PLC software and commission a new Bale Arm Automatic Stacker for a prominent Grass feed supplier for Race Horses.

A Festo CPX with I/O modules and a Festo HMI was utilized for the control of the System.

The system comprised of four positioning valves with analogue inputs giving actual position of each valve. Each valve controls an Arm that enables direction control and rotation control of the Bale suction head
